hint....
I have been reading NieNie's blog ( http://nieniedialogues.blogspot.com/ ) and I now know what all the fuss is about! She is amazing and I want to be like her when I grow up. It was several hours of laughter and tears. Her perspective on life is truly a gift. Anyway....I saw something on her blog and I absolutely love them! I want one....or two.....or three! I tried to post a picture, but couldn't get it to work, so go here if you desperately want to know what I'm talking about....or even if you're just curious! And here to see another one I like. I also like these. I think Vintage Pearl is my new fav. place for jewelry....too bad it's so expensive!

sweet glory
Glory has interesting prayers....she says stuff like "have fun in heaven". Not really sure what she means by that. Anyway, it seems to me that there's not a lot of thought that goes into her prayers. I was wrong! She was saying the lunch prayer yesterday after she got home from school. I heard "help Nathan to stop crying and to feel better". Nathan is a boy in her class. After the prayer she said he was crying on the bus and she said a prayer for him to be better and it worked, but then when he got off the bus, he started crying again. So she was concerned enough about her little friend that she wanted to pray again for him to feel better. How sweet is that???!!! Obviously she puts thought into her prayers when she has them......I wonder what "have fun in heaven" means??? It is times like these when the simplicity of the gospel is revealed again and I'm reminded of the truth and of my Heavenly Father's love. Is that why we have children?? So we can be reminded of those truths and witness His love over and over, through the meekness and simplicity of our children? We truly teach each other as families. I learn so much from my kids and they bear testimony to me more often than I do to them. I have realized lately how prideful I am. How much I have been so concerned with things that don't really matter in the long run. I have been sufficiently (I hope) humbled! If only I can remember these lessons, so they don't have to be repeated. Sometimes they are painful. :0)

fall
I love all the seasons! I am always ready for the next one by the time it comes. I am now enjoying this fall season. I was out weeding the other day and was absolutely energized by the windy morning; the crisp air; the soft, moist earth. I love the cooler temps, the rain, getting cozy by (ok-over) the heater with a blanket and a book, falling leaves, fall colors, yummy baked goodies, etc, etc. Maybe it is because I love change so much....maybe because it is the first sign that Christmas (my fav. holiday) is on its way....maybe because I love nature and the outdoors and all its phases. I don't know, but I know I enjoy fall and when winter comes I will be ready for that and all the enjoyment it brings.

febreeze giveaway
My sister-in-law has a frugal living blog called The Bargain Jargon (see button on side of blog or go to her link under "other blogs") and she is having a giveaway for the Febreeze Home Collection. I love her giveaways! She will occasionally have drawings and I have won a few of them. She is my coupon-clipping hero and I love to see what good deals she comes up with (even if I can't always get them for myself). Her blog is great! Check it out......
